It was in 1881 when the engineers of the Navy department first developed a structure that contains melted ice and a cloth; the ice water on the cloth is on the other hand blown by a fan to disperse the cold air inside a particular room. Next to the first home that had an air conditioning unit, the first movie theater was also installed with a unit during the year 1922, and this was located in Los Angeles California. After this development, even the House of Representative of the United States also decided to have their office air conditioned in 1928; the following year, the Senate joined in the bandwagon. It was in 1930 when the White House, Department of Commerce, and Executive Office Building were turned into air conditioned rooms as well.
