Can I really install a ducted air conditioning system myself?

Yes you can. You will need some handyman skills as you will have to cut small sections from the ceiling or walls to install the vents for your system and to run the ducts through the ceiling. The degree of difficulty depends a lot on the design of your house and the ceiling space you have. The one thing you can't do is to hook up your air conditioner, you are not legally allowed to do that unless you're licensed. When you buy one of our ducted air conditioning kits, we will supply you with a list of qualified experts with references who can do the final installation. You will save $1,000 - $2,000 on the installation by doing some of the work yourself.
