The Last Article I wrote was based on the energy efficiency levels of a 14kw range of air conditioning.
These are the most popular size because they are generally used for a three or four bedroom house and maybe 7 or 8 outlets.
The next range down are used for smaller homes. These are used a lot with 5 or six outlets.
So lets start with the Fujitsu Inverter Ducted air conditioning again. The model is an ART45luak .It has an output of 12.5kw This has a 4 star rating and the estimated running costs over 10 years is $2,430.00 assuming it is sized correctly for your home. You see, If an inverter is undersized for your home it will actually use more electricity than a conventional airconditioner.
The next one to look at is the Daikin
This is the FDYQ125 and has an output of 12.5kw as well. There is no star rating on this as yet but the estimated running costs over 10 years is $2592.00
So the Fujitsu is Slightly more energy efficient than the Daikin unit.
The other model to consider is the LG Ducted air conditioning The Model we are looking at is B42 awy. This ducted system has an output of 12.3kw and costs approx $2766.00 over Ten years so it is not really that energy efficient when compared to Daikin and Fujitsu.
I have never installed an LG system so I cant really comment on the performance and how good or bad they are. But in this range my opinion is to run with the Fujitsu.
Until next time
