How To Make Your Home More Energy Efficient

Wouldn't You Like To Make Your Ducted Air Conditioning System Work More Efficiently?

Many poeple ring me up and say that they want ducted air conditioning. The first question that I always ask them is if they have insulation in their rooves. And I'm very surprised when I find that alot of clients actually say no. When you put insulation in your roof, you actually improve the performance of your air conditioning by up to 30%. This means that your energy bill dramatically reduces. Now the insulation that I recommend in your roof should be at least R3.5.

The other thing that I would like to see you do when you actually have your air conditioning system is to have door stops to tuck under your door so that the air doesn't escape from under your door.

Another massive important thing that you should do is to put nice, effective curtains on your windows. You'll find that the energy efficiency of your air conditioning will improve dramatically if you put those curtains on your windows and your energy bill will decrease massively. Even if you're not happy with the performance of your air conditioning at the moment, if you do these few things; put the insulation in the ceiling, put some stops under the external gaps of the doors and put curtains on your windows, you will be amazed at the difference your air conditioning makes. Your energy bill will drop and you will be alot happier with the performance of your ducted air conditioning system.

So please do these procedures when you have an air conditioning system and even when you don't, even if you haven't put an air conditioning system into your home, if you implement these strategies you will have a more energy efficient home, lower running costs and a more effective air conditioning system.

See you all next time with more tips for your home,
